George’s Greek Village has always been more than a restaurant — it’s a gathering place, a warm hug of hospitality, and a proud supporter of the Niagara community.
This summer has been one of our busiest, most beautiful, and most meaningful seasons yet, and as we head into back-to-school time, we’re excited to share what’s been happening and what’s coming next.
Supporting Community Care’s Back to School Program
At the heart of George’s Greek Village is a commitment to giving back, and once again, George has proudly supported Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold — most recently through their incredible Back to School Program. George’s wife, Cheryl, played a key role in spearheading the initiative on behalf of the restaurant.
This annual program ensures that students from JK to Grade 12 start the school year with confidence, comfort, and everything they need to succeed. In 2025 alone, 1,700 kids received support — a powerful reminder of how much this community can accomplish together.

Eligible children registered with Community Care receive:
- A backpack filled with essential school supplies
- Healthy snacks to fuel their day
- A brand-new pair of sneakers
It is important that students return to school with the supplies they need so that their first priority is to participate and learn in class… Our back to school program aims to help ease that burden and help families manage.
George’s Greek Village is honoured to stand behind this mission — because when kids thrive, our whole community thrives.
A Month of Weekend Features Worth Celebrating
This past month has been packed with flavour, excitement, and some unforgettable weekend specials that had guests lining up for some awesome Greek eats!
Stuffed Chicken Breast
Our beloved Stuffed Chicken Breast with roasted red pepper & oozing with feta returned — and yes, it was just as delicious as you remembered!
Flatbread Appetizer
Another weekend feature combo highlighted a loaded with Mediterranean goodness, Flatbread Appetizer. The perfect start to any meal!
Lamb Loin Main
Tender, flavourful, and beautifully plated, the Lamb Loin weekend feature brought a touch of luxury to summer dining served with a Greek salad, bread, potatoes and rice for a fabulous and filling Greek dish!
Oysters with Feta & Spinach
Seafood lovers rejoiced as our bold and refreshing appetizer was served up at tables. These Oysters were the perfect start to a canal-side meal!
Breaded Chicken Supreme
Topped with olive tapenade, this Chicken Supreme was a crowd favourite that blended comfort with Greek flair. Truly a dish that melts in your mouth and satisfies hunger!
Busy, Beautiful & Full of Energy
It has been an incredibly busy season at George’s — and we couldn’t be more grateful. The patio has been buzzing, the dining room full of laughter, and the views of the Welland Canal have been nothing short of breathtaking.
There’s something magical about sharing a meal while ships pass by and the sun sets over the water. Thank you for making this summer unforgettable.
