At George’s Greek Village in St. Catharines, June wasn’t just hot—it was heartwarming. With peak summer energy, unforgettable food, stunning waterfront views, and one incredible community milestone, we’re still riding the wave of gratitude and excitement.

🌟 George Honoured with the Tom Tronzo Award

The highlight of the month? George himself—our founder and community champion—was awarded the Tom Tronzo Award at the Community Care Annual Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony.

Tom Tronzo was a long-standing board member of Community Care St. Catharines & Thorold who deeply believed in the power of community and collective action. His legacy lives on through the annual Tom Tronzo Award, which honours individuals who embody his inspiring motto: “If we all pull together, we can get the job done.”

George has “got the job done” for years now with his continuing Chicken Kebob Takeout Meal Deal initiative that donates $2 to Community Care for each sale and now has reached an astounding $68,888.00!

Without the community this would not be possible and a huge thank you to everyone who has ordered this meal to help in the cause (plus eat great)!

🍽️ Patio Season Meets Peak Cravings

And let’s talk about the food. With warm breezes rolling off the canal and ships gliding by, there’s no better place to dine in Niagara than right here on George’s waterfront patio. June brought record-breaking crowds, lots of laughter, and more than a few second helpings.

Customer Feature highlights this month included:

A 12 oz Rib Eye Steak – tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection (a meat lover’s favourite)!

And the Surf & Turf Kebob – a jaw-dropping combo of savoury steak and succulent shrimp. Check out a wonderful kebob below that a customer is about to enjoy!!
